Andovar is seeking Software Engineers / Software Developers (SWE/SWD) to support a high-priority AI initiative focused on building and evaluating AI agents using advanced LLM frameworks (including OpenClaw).
This role involves hands-on coding, experimentation across multiple AI models, and designing evaluation frameworks across domains such as health, education, and everyday use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Contributors will engage in end-to-end AI agent development and evaluation, including:
- AI Agent Development: Build and test agents using OpenClaw across multiple AI models
- Experimentation: Explore agent behavior across diverse real-world domains (e.g., health, education, daily life)
- Evaluation Frameworks: Design rubrics to assess agent performance, reasoning, and outputs
- API Integration: Work with APIs to connect models, tools, and workflows
- Code Implementation: Develop clean, functional code to support agent pipelines and testing
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in software development (ideal range: 2–5+ years)
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python OR Node.js / TypeScript
- Technical Exposure: Experience working with APIs and integrating external services
- Language: Necessary written English skills for documentation and evaluation tasks
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate AI outputs and define structured assessment criteria
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with LLMs, AI agents, or automation frameworks
- Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI evaluation methodologies
- Background in experimentation or prototyping environments
Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment test provided by Andovar
- The assessment will evaluate coding ability, API usage, and problem-solving skills relevant to AI agent development

Engagement Model
- Type: Freelance / contract-based
- Work Setup: Fully remote, asynchronous, flexible hours
- Duration: Through end of Q2 (with potential extension) and more future work opportunities
- Compensation:
- Up to $50/hour (US, Canada, UK, Australia)
- Up to $30/hour (all other regions)
- Currency: USD
